Dogwood Village of Orange County has been Selected as a Health Quality Innovator of the Year
This Award recognizes the facilities’ dedication to improving the health of our seniors.
Dogwood Village of Orange County has been recognized as a 2020 Health Quality Innovator of the Year. The Health Quality Innovator Awards are Health Quality Innovators/the Health Quality Innovation Network’s (HQIN)] annual recognition program. This year, health care providers and organizations receiving this award are being honored for their innovative approaches or technologies to address COVID-19
Dogwood Village of Orange County was selected as a winner in the long-term care category.
Dogwood Village has been serving the community for 50 years offering short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and assisted living. When faced with this pandemic, all efforts were made to educate staff on infection control measures to include social distancing, hand hygiene, cleaning and disinfecting as well as daily screening of all that entered the facility. Once visitation was opened to family and friends Dogwood staff offered safe and creative ways to allow residents to visit their loved ones without compromising their safety. As a result of these efforts, the facility residents remain COVID-19 free.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as a Health Quality Innovator of the Year. This is truly a collaborative effort among an incredible team of people working to keep the residents safe during this pandemic.” Patricia W. Talley, BSW, Customer and Community Relations
