Physical Therapist – Full Time

  • Assessment of post-acute and post-surgical residents
  • Providing direct patient care
  • Establish treatment programs
  • Work with other Rehab and Nursing staff to promote the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial wellbeing for the residents.


    • Must have a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Active state license required.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise PTAs and PT Techs


Dogwood Village of Orange County is a skilled nursing facility of 164 beds, plus an assisted living facility with 60 apartments. We are a not-for-profit facility with an in-house therapy program. We have 2 newly renovated gyms and an ADL Suite.

C.A.R.E. Aide – Senior Living

Part-Time  28 to 32 hours per pay period; includes every other weekend.  Hours are generally 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

  • Responsible for the oversight of residents in C.A.R.E. (Connections through Art, Reminiscing and Engagement) program.
  • Assists with planning and organizing specialized activities and conducts same with residents with diagnosis of dementia.
  • Assists with meals, serving and assisting residents as needed.
  • Provides assistance with toileting, personal hygiene and transferring residents as needed.
  • Under the oversite of Health Services and Activities Departments.
  • PCA or CNA required as well as current CPR.

ACTIVITY ASSISTANT  – Part-Time in our Senior Living facility

  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Resident Activities to plan, organize, direct and conduct appropriate activities for residents that meet the mental, social, creative and recreational needs of each.
  • Assist in planning, organizing and conducting special events
  • Set up rooms for activities as appropriate
  • Encourage participation in scheduled events to meet established resident goals
  • Assist residents to and from designated areas for events
  • Assist Director in welcoming each new resident to help ensure a comfortable transition
  • Assist with ideas for creation of the monthly Activities Calendar
  • Must exhibit patience and a positive attitude towards elderly population and a desire to provide service to the community
  • Must be an intuitive, creative thinker


  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Current, valid Driver’s License
  • Current CPR and Basic First Aid certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • CNA certification preferred, but not required
  • Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends



LPN – Senior Living

  • Current, un-restricted, valid licensure as a Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Professions.
  • Current CPR certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified).

Registered Med Aide – Part Time – Day and Evening Shifts – Senior Living

  • Provides direct resident care and administers medications as directed.
  • Reports to Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing/Resident Health Services, and Administrator.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with established facility policy and scope of practice.
  • Administer medications per physician order on Medication Administration Record, according to established facility policy and within the scope of practice outlines in the current regulations as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals.
  • Provide care for and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to residents as needed or directed, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, personal hygiene, toileting, positioning, and mobility while taking all necessary measures to ensure the highest level of comfort, dignity, and safety to the resident at all times.


  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current, valid State approved Registered Medication Aide certification or completion of approved training, with certification to be received within 90 days of hire, to include one of the following:
    • Completion of state approved PCA (Personal Care Aide) with documentation, or
    • CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) certification issued by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
    • Current, valid CPR certification.
  • Complete four (4) hours of training annually as required by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
