Dogwood Village Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a talented, experienced and dynamic Administrator to lead the team located in Orange Virginia. Our Health and Rehabilitation Center has 164 SNF beds and a staff of approximately 270 talented, dedicated and compassionate individuals to care for our patients and residents. Candidates must have ten years experience as a Nursing Home Administrator with a current license by the State of Virginia and a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Healthcare. As Administrator you will assume overall responsibility for the quality of care of Dogwood Health Center patients and residents. You will be responsible for the operation, administration, leadership and management of the Health and Rehabilitation Center. The ideal candidate will share our commitment to enrich the quality of life and health of our patients and residents and serve the community. This individual will establish policies and practices that promote quality care, regulatory compliance and staff morale. Physical Therapist – Full Time

Requirements

    • Must have a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Active state license required.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to supervise PTAs and PT Techs

Dogwood Village of Orange County is a skilled nursing facility of 164 beds, plus an assisted living facility with 60 apartments. We are a not-for-profit facility with an in-house therapy program. We have 2 newly renovated gyms and an ADL Suite.

C.A.R.E. Aide – Senior Living

Part-Time  28 to 32 hours per pay period; includes every other weekend.  Hours are generally 2:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

  • Responsible for the oversight of residents in C.A.R.E. (Connections through Art, Reminiscing and Engagement) program.
  • Assists with planning and organizing specialized activities and conducts same with residents with diagnosis of dementia.
  • Assists with meals, serving and assisting residents as needed.
  • Provides assistance with toileting, personal hygiene and transferring residents as needed.
  • Under the oversite of Health Services and Activities Departments.
  • PCA or CNA required as well as current CPR.

Registered Med Aide – Part Time – Day and Evening Shifts – Senior Living

  • Provides direct resident care and administers medications as directed.
  • Reports to Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing/Resident Health Services, and Administrator.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with established facility policy and scope of practice.
  • Administer medications per physician order on Medication Administration Record, according to established facility policy and within the scope of practice outlines in the current regulations as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals.
  • Provide care for and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to residents as needed or directed, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, personal hygiene, toileting, positioning, and mobility while taking all necessary measures to ensure the highest level of comfort, dignity, and safety to the resident at all times.

Education/Certifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current, valid State approved Registered Medication Aide certification or completion of approved training, with certification to be received within 90 days of hire, to include one of the following:
    • Completion of state approved PCA (Personal Care Aide) with documentation, or
    • CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) certification issued by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
    • Current, valid CPR certification.
  • Complete four (4) hours of training annually as required by the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
