Senior Living Resident Spotlight – Beverly Elson
Mrs. Beverly Elson was born in Lajolla, CA but spent the vast majority of her life in Washington, DC before retiring to a home she owns in Locust Dale, VA. Beverly always had an affinity for the arts and that drove her to pursue her PhD in Art History from the University of Maryland at College Park. Despite never having children of her own Beverly valued the relationships with her students very much and always took interest in pushing them to achieve their highest potential. She is a member of the College Art Association. Later in life Beverly met her late husband, Frank Grey in Sunday school where they both attended church at National Presbyterian Church in DC. After retiring Beverly could be found busying her time playing the piano and dancing or spending time with her beloved cat named Muff. Despite all she’s been able to see and do throughout her life there’s nothing she’s prouder of than her time spent teaching.
