Our History of Care and Community
In 1970, Orange County developed a nursing home to serve its growing senior community. Since then, the facility has transformed and now offers Health and Rehabilitation along with Assisted Living services. The name was changed to more accurately reflect the comprehensive services provided. Dogwood Village of Orange County takes pride in its "Tradition of Excellence."
The nonprofit facility is owned by the County of Orange, with its operations overseen by the Health Center Commission of County, appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. The facility guarantees that no individual is discriminated against based on race, color, national origin, disability, or age regarding admission, treatment, participation in programs, services, activities, or employment.
