OUR HISTORY

In 1970, Orange County constructed a nursing home to meet the needs of a growing senior population. The facility continued to grow and currently offers Health and Rehabilitation and Assisted Living services. The name was changed to reflect all the services that are offered. Dogwood Village of Orange County is proud of a “Tradition of Excellence.”

Owned by the County of Orange, operations of the nonprofit facility are overseen by the Health Center Commission of Orange County, a body politic appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors. The facility does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability or age in admission, treatment or participation in its programs, services and activities or in employment.
