Our History
Dogwood Village has been a cornerstone of compassionate senior care in Orange County since 1970. Originally established by the County to meet the needs of a growing senior population, the facility began as a nursing home and has since evolved into a comprehensive senior living community offering Assisted Living, Health and Rehabilitation, and Long-Term Care.
In response to this growth, the facility was renamed to better reflect the full scope of services provided. Today, Dogwood Village is known for its tradition of excellence, personalized care, and strong community connections.
As a nonprofit owned by Orange County and overseen by the Health Center Commission—appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors—we remain deeply committed to serving with integrity and compassion. We proudly ensure that no one is discriminated against based on race, color, national origin, disability, or age in any aspect of our programs or services.
For over five decades, our dedicated team has gone beyond standard care to create a vibrant environment filled with respect, joy, and meaningful engagement. More than a senior living community, Dogwood Village is a family—a place where every resident can feel at home.
Dogwood Village: A Tradition of Care. A Community of Belonging.
