Dogwood Village of Orange County Announces New Administrator, John Ashley


Orange, VA — Dogwood Village of Orange County is pleased to announce the hiring of John Ashley as its new Administrator, effective January 12, 2026. John brings a strong record of leadership, operational excellence, and resident-centered service to the organization, along with an extensive background in healthcare administration.


With a strong educational background in Healthcare Administration, John Ashley brings years of leadership experience in long-term care, serving most recently as Health Care Center Administrator within a large Continuing Care Retirement Community in Northern Virginia. Throughout his career, he has overseen Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living operations with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and resident-centered care. John is recognized for strengthening staffing performance, elevating quality measures, and leading teams through complex initiatives, including emergency preparedness planning aligned with CMS requirements. He has built strong and collaborative relationships not only with residents and staff, but also with community-based organizations, working closely with local partners to enhance programs, services, and support for older adults.

Known for his team-centered leadership style, John continues to advance operational excellence, cultivate trust across all levels of the organization, and foster a culture of compassion and accountability.
