August is here, bringing sunny days, warm evenings, and the final stretch of summer! It's a wonderful time to enjoy the outdoors, spend quality time with loved ones, and create lasting memories. As we embrace all that this month has to offer, we hope everyone finds joy in the little moments that make summer so special.

As we welcome August, we encourage all our residents to continue making their health and well-being a priority. Stay hydrated, enjoy time outside when the weather allows, participate in our many activities, and take time to relax and recharge. Whether you're sharing laughter with friends, enjoying a favorite hobby, or simply soaking up the sunshine, we hope this month is filled with happiness, comfort, and meaningful moments. As we begin August, we look back with gratitude on all the wonderful moments we shared throughout July. From festive celebrations and engaging activities to the everyday conversations and laughter that brighten our halls, each day has helped make Dogwood Village feel like home. We are excited for another month filled with meaningful connections, new experiences, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the final days of summer together.

Celebrating the Fourth of July

As our residents celebrated the Fourth of July holiday, we extend a special thank you to Brightside for organizing a wonderful parade and to our amazing Activities Department for planning a day filled with fun, laughter, smiles, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to everyone who helped make the celebration so special for our residents!

Hydration, Happiness & Togetherness

Our residents and staff enjoyed a special treat featuring delicious snacks, refreshing drinks, a hydration station, and lots of smiles! It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy great company, and create more special memories. Cheers to staying hydrated, sharing sweet moments, and celebrating the joy of community!

Celebrating Our Talented Resident Artists

We are proud to celebrate our talented Dogwood Village Health & Rehab and Senior Living residents who earned ribbons for their handmade crafts at the Orange County Agricultural Fair!

A Splash of Summer Fun

We cherish our summer days at Dogwood Village! There's nothing better than an enjoyable afternoon packed with water balloons, cool snow cones, and creating wonderful memories with friends. A big thank you to our fantastic Activities Department for consistently organizing such fun and memorable events!

Happy Shark Week!

Our residents had an amazing time celebrating with our Shark Attack Punch, engaging in fun games, sharing lots of laughs, and enjoying great company! A big thank you to our incredible Activities Team for organizing such a fantastic event—it's certainly one we'll remember!

Dogwood Village Hosts American Blood Drive

We are always grateful to the American Red Cross for coming to Dogwood Village and assisting our Orange County community! A sincere thank you to our wonderful staff, residents, and community friends who became heroes for the day by donating blood. Your kindness and compassion have the potential to save lives, and we appreciate each one of you. Together, we're making an impact—one donation at a time!

Cherry Cola Float Fun

A little cherry cola, a scoop of ice cream, and lots of smiles! Our residents enjoyed a sweet summer treat with refreshing cherry cola floats. A big thank you to our wonderful Activities Department for creating fun moments and making summer at Dogwood Village so special!

July Staff Town Hall Raffle Winners

Congratulations to the winners of our raffle: Amanda, Riella, Anita, and Benjamin! We deeply appreciate your hard work, compassion, and dedication to our residents daily. We are truly grateful to have each of you as members of the Dogwood Village team. Once again, congratulations and thank you for making a difference every day!

Heather Jenkins

Meet Heather, who has been a dedicated member of the Dogwood Village Housekeeping Department for the last 14 years. “What I enjoy most about Dogwood Village is our residents. Many of them feel like grandparents to me, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. The caring residents and welcoming atmosphere are what make Dogwood Village such a special place.”

Katherine has demonstrated remarkable compassion, commitment, and a true affection for our residents. She consistently offers assistance with activities and has fostered meaningful relationships that enhance the lives of those nearby. Her kindness, positive outlook, and caring nature have left a lasting impression, and we are thankful to have Katherine as a member of the Dogwood Village family.
