July has arrived, bringing sunshine, warm summer days, and plenty of reasons to celebrate! As we enjoy the heart of summer, we hope everyone takes time to appreciate the beauty of the season, spend time with family and friends, and make lasting memories together.

As we welcome this new month, we encourage all our residents to continue prioritizing their health and well-being. Enjoy the fresh air, stay hydrated, participate in activities, and take time to relax and enjoy the simple joys that summer brings. Your happiness and wellness remain at the heart of our community, and we are grateful to share this season with you.

As we begin July, we also reflect on the wonderful memories made throughout June. From fun-filled events and celebrations to the everyday moments that bring us together, your smiles continue to make Dogwood Village a special place to call home. We look forward to creating even more meaningful experiences and celebrating summer together throughout the month ahead.

Staff Field Day Appreciation

What an incredible Staff Field Day celebration! Thank you to our Administration and Leadership Team for making this special CNA Week event possible. Your support and commitment to recognizing our staff made the day a huge success. Thank you to all of our staff members who participated and brought such great energy and teamwork to the celebration. We also extend our appreciation to everyone who helped plan and organize the event. A special thank you to DJ Erick for providing the music, 2 Scoops for the delicious ice cream, and our Dining Department for preparing an amazing meal. Your hard work helped make the day even more memorable. We are grateful for each and every member of our team. Thank you for your dedication, compassion, and all you do for our residents every day. We truly appreciate you!

Honoring Juneteenth Together

In honor of Juneteenth, we recognize a day of reflection, remembrance, and celebration. We honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of those who helped pave the way for freedom, progress, and equality. Our residents celebrated the day with a unity-themed craft activity in the morning, followed by a fun afternoon sock hop featuring root beer floats and live music by Joey Knots. It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, music, laughter, and community. Together, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look toward a brighter future.

Father's Day Luncheon Celebration

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating the incredible fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have touched so many lives. A heartfelt thank you to our residents, families, friends, and staff for making this celebration so special. We also extend our appreciation to our Dining Department for preparing a delicious luncheon that everyone enjoyed. Here's to the dads, role models, mentors, and heroes who continue to inspire us every day. Thank you for all you do.

June Staff Town Hall Raffle Winners

What a fantastic way to kick off our June staff meeting and field day raffle! Congratulations to Carmen on winning the 50/50 raffle! A big shoutout to our wonderful raffle winners — Corneila, Whitney, Courtney, and Avery! Thank you all for the hard work, compassion, and dedication you bring to our residents each day. We truly appreciate everything you do!

Congratulations to Our June Team Member of the Month, Amy Shea, Director of Activities! Amy brings joy, creativity, and compassion to everything she does. Her dedication to creating meaningful and engaging experiences for our residents has a positive impact on our community every day. Thank you, Amy, for your hard work, endless energy, and commitment to enriching the lives of our residents. We are grateful to have you as part of the Dogwood Village team. Celebrating National Bingo Day

Our residents had a wonderful time celebrating National Bingo Day! The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and friendly competition as everyone enjoyed a fun afternoon together.

Rusty Rims Wheelchair and Walker Wash

What a wheel-y fun day at Dogwood Village! Our residents had a wonderful time getting their wheelchairs and walkers sparkling clean while sharing plenty of smiles, laughter, and great company. A special thank you to our Activities Department for planning such a creative and enjoyable event. Your hard work and dedication help make every day memorable for our residents. Nothing shines brighter than the smiles on our residents' faces!

Meet Lany, who has proudly served in the Dogwood Village Dietary Department for the past 10 months. "What I enjoy most about working at Dogwood Village is being part of an incredible team and spending time with our residents. The people are what make Dogwood Village so special. Our staff is always willing to help one another, creating a caring and welcoming environment for both residents and employees.”

Join us on July 8th at 6:15 PM for our Family Night Council Meeting. Afterwards, visit our Bake Sale on July 22nd at 9:00 AM to savor a variety of delicious homemade treats. Conclude the month with our Back to School Event on July 31st at 2:00 PM in our Senior Living Building, where you can enjoy sweet treats, fun, and wonderful company.
