Dogwood Village March 2026 Newsletter

A new month brings renewed hope and fresh beginnings as we welcome March—a time when winter slowly gives way to the promise of spring. Though there is still a crispness in the air, signs of change and brighter days ahead remind us of growth, reflection, and the simple joys of sharing kindness with one another.


As we move through this seasonal transition together, it’s important to remain mindful of our health and well-being. To all our valued residents, please continue to stay warm on cooler days, rest well, and take the steps needed to stay healthy. Your well-being means so much to us, and we are thankful to begin this month surrounded by care, compassion, and community.


Let’s also take a moment to reflect on the warm memories and meaningful moments we shared throughout February, as we continue creating even more special memories together in the weeks ahead.


Introduction to John, Our New Administrator

What an incredible meet and greet! We are grateful to our wonderful residents, families, community partners, and staff for assisting us in warmly welcoming our new administrator, John Ashley! The smiles, laughter, and positive energy made it an unforgettable day. We are excited to see the great things he has in store for Dogwood and look forward to the continued growth and positive impact his leadership will bring to our community.



Love Never Ages

From our amazing residents and caring staff, we’re sending big hugs, bright smiles, and lots of love your way! Love never grows old—it only becomes richer, sweeter, and more joyful with time. Let’s keep sharing laughter, kindness, and a little extra sparkle wherever we go! After all, the more love we give, the more it grows—and there’s always room for more!



Celebrating Valentine's Day at Dogwood Village

We wish you a Happy Valentine's Day! On this special day devoted to honoring love and affection, our residents gathered to celebrate with a joyful and laughter-filled party. A sincere thank you to our activities department for all they do for our amazing residents.






Mardi Gras Social

Let the good times roll! Our Mardi Gras celebration was filled with laughter, sparkle, and delightful moments! Residents and staff had a fantastic time making colorful beads and savoring delicious pancakes fresh off the griddle! Countless smiles, abundant joy, and just the right touch of Mardi Gras magic made it a day to remember!

March Staff Spotlight: Loretta Clements

Meet Loretta, our Director of Financial Services, who has proudly served the Dogwood Village community for 19 years. "What I enjoy most about Dogwood is its hometown feel and the fact that it was founded by the county to serve its residents. Having previously worked in two for-profit long-term care facilities, I truly value that Dogwood is a non-profit organization. Everything here goes back into supporting the employees and residents, which makes it a special and meaningful place to work."

Don't Miss Our March Events!

Save the dates! On March 10th at 9:45 AM, we will take part in the National Tornado Drill for both buildings. Join us on March 11th at 10:00 AM in the Senior Living Community Room for an insightful presentation hosted by Aging Together. Then, on March 17th, join us for a day of fun—stop by our Bake Sale at 9:00 AM to enjoy some delicious treats, and later that afternoon, attend our St. Patrick’s Day Social at 2:00 PM for a festive celebration.
