As we embrace this beautiful time of year, we encourage all our residents to stay healthy and take good care of themselves—enjoy fresh air, rest when needed, and savor each day. Your well-being is at the heart of our community, and we are grateful to begin this month surrounded by care, compassion, and connection.

Let’s also celebrate the wonderful memories we created throughout April, and look forward to making even more meaningful moments together as May continues to bloom around us.

Celebrating Easter at Dogwood Village

What a beautiful Easter celebration! Our Easter luncheon was filled with joy, laughter, and sweet moments shared between our wonderful residents and their families. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.

Earth Day Celebration: Growing, Creating, and Connecting with Nature

Our residents had a wonderful day celebrating the beauty of nature! From planting seeds to creating colorful art stones, and ending with some sweet dirt cup fun — it was a day full of smiles, creativity, and connection. Here’s to growing together and nurturing joy, one activity at a time! Every moment reminded us of the beauty in simple things and the happiness that comes from being together.

Occupational Therapy Month Spring Fling

We celebrated Occupational Therapy Month with a wonderful Spring Fling! Our rehab team organized the event outside, giving our residents the chance to enjoy each moment filled with smiles, laughter, and genuine joy. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing rehab team for arranging such a delightful event and to our incredible staff for always stepping up to help and making these moments unforgettable. West Main Unit Leads the Way

A big shoutout to our West Main unit for their amazing enthusiasm and support! They achieved the highest resident turnout for the Spring Fling competition, making the day full of smiles, laughter, and endless fun. Well done, West Main! You all made the day unforgettable!

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and it was heartwarming to witness so many smiles and joyful interactions. Introducing Raquel, who has dedicated 8 years of service to Dogwood Village in Medical Records. "With the many roles I have here at Dogwood, one of the things I enjoy most is seeing the residents and the smiles on their faces each day. I especially love when they notice the shirts I’m wearing—it always brings smiles and laughter as they start naming them. These simple moments bring joy to both their day and mine. The residents and strong sense of teamwork are what truly make Dogwood such a special place."

Don’t miss our Community Casino Night on May 14th at 6:00 PM! Later in the month, visit our Bake Sale on May 20th at 9:00 AM for some tasty treats. We’ll conclude the month by honoring Memorial Day with an Ice Cream Social at 2:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
