Mrs. Mary Lou Baker has been a friend to all from the moment she moved into Dogwood Village. She was born in Unionville and has spent the entire life in Orange County.
She worked for Safeway for 24 years and retired in 1988. She met her husband, W. Ivan Baker, on a blind date and the couple shared a wonderful marriage for 35 years.
In total the couple shared 9 incredible children. When speaking of her husband, Mary Lou fondly remembers that in the eyes of her husband, the children could do no wrong.
Mary Lou has always enjoyed spending time with friends, shopping, and going out to eat. Of all the things she has done in her life she takes the most pride raising her children to be well-rounded individuals and always doing her best to be a good person.
