Tom Short recently became a part of the Dogwood Community. He was born and raised in Roanoke VA. He moved to Orange VA in 1972. He has one daughter and two sons. He graduated from Elon College. Tom retired from Orange County Public Schools.
He is a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Orange Library Association and Orange County Education Association. In the past you would find him working his garden or during snow season hitting the slopes for skiing. In his spare time, he likes to read and view football/basketball on television.
