Mrs. Erba Burton was born in Monticello, Illinois and spent the first four decades of her life there. She grew up along side her two brothers Arkie and GW while attending school in Monticello. She and her husband Leonard met shortly after World War II and she married at the age of 21.
After leaving the service Leonard went to work for the federal government.
Together the couple expanding their family for nearly seventy years, including 2 son, Rodney and Dennis, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Through the years Erba worked at Gordon Barbour Elementary School and served the community Clothes Closet in Orange, giving back to those in need. Nothing in this life makes Erba happier than her wonderful family.
