Mrs. Mary Lou Baker has been a friend to all from the moment she moved into Dogwood Village. She was born in Unionville and has spent the entirety of her life in Orange County.
She worked for Safe Way for 24 years and retired in 1988. She met her husband W. Ivan Baker on a blind date and the couple shared a wonderful marriage for 35 years.
In total the couple shared 9 incredible children. When speaking of her husband Mary Lou fondly remembers that in the eyes of her husband children could do no wrong.
Mary Lou has always enjoyed spending time with friends, shopping and going out to eat. She is a member of the Unionville Christian Church where she attends when possible. Of all the things she’s done in her life she takes the most pride raising her children to be well-rounded individuals and always doing her best to be a good person.
