Please help us give a warm welcome our newest Dogwood Village team member, Tabatha Truslow, Director of Compliance.
"I grew up in Bremo Bluff Va. I am a mother of three beautiful children and just became a grandmother to my first granddaughter. I enjoy doing yard work and spending time outside in my flower gardens. I love to read and enjoy writing different types of literature. My family and our fur babies moved to the Town of Orange a year ago and absolutely love living in such a quaint and family-oriented community. When my children were younger, I provided in-home care as a PCA and then later became a nursing assistant where I worked in a hospital setting. While working as a CNA I also gained certification in phlebotomy. I wanted to further my education in healthcare, so I attended Piedmont Virginia Community College and graduated from their RN program and was elected commencement speaker at graduation. After graduation I continued to work in a hospital setting as a RN. After leaving the hospital setting, I worked in family medicine for almost two years, and then from there started my journey in long-term and rehab care. Working in LTC and SNF facilities I have fulfilled multiple roles such as wound care, charge nurse, evening supervisor, infection control and assistant director. I recently finished the RN to BSN program at Liberty University and graduated with honors. I believe that faith, evidence-based knowledge, and integrity are some of the key principles in my life and nursing practices. I look forward to making new memories with residents and staff and I am excited to be a part of the Dogwood family. "
