Dogwood Village would like to recognize Janet Edwards and her ShihTzu, Suki, for their contributions to the facility. Janet has been volunteering with Suki for about 2 years. Janet is currently retired after 30 years of teaching elementary school students. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and is married to Clarence “Skip” Edwards. The couple has two children and a grandson, Clay. Janet lives in Orange County and attends Macedonia Christian Church where she is and Elder. Janet also enjoys reading and working in her flower garden. Janet shared that Suki will be 8 years old in November and seems excited when visiting with residents and staff in the facility.
