Nicole Hoffman's Journey: From Dining Server to Physical Therapist Assistant

Dogwood Village highlights the journey of Nicole Hoffman, a new Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) whose dedication has brought her back to our community. Nicole started at Dogwood Village Assisted Living five years ago as a dining server, forming connections with residents and developing an interest in physical therapy inspired by her great-grandfather's care at Dogwood Health & Rehab. Her passion grew while attending her mother's physical therapy sessions, leading her to apply to Germanna Community College’s PTA Program. While awaiting acceptance, she gained experience as a therapy aide at Ivy Rehab in Orange, VA, balancing this with her part-time role at Dogwood. In summer 2023, Nicole was accepted into the PTA program, which required her to focus on her studies. After graduating in May and passing her board exam in July, she contacted Jessica Davidson about a PTA position at Dogwood. Nicole began her new role at the end of July and has transitioned to full-time work as a licensed PTA. Dogwood Village proudly welcomes Nicole Hoffman back, celebrating her hard work and commitment to our residents!
